Hello and Happy Friday, everyone!

Due to the overlap between our CSCW workshop application deadline and the multiple SIGCHI conference Papers & Notes submission deadlines this week and next, we have decided to extend the late-notification application deadline for the Social Issues in PI workshop until after CHI submissions are due. We will now be accepting late-notification applications to the workshop until the end of the day on Monday, 24 September.

For those of you submitting to next year’s CHI conference, good luck with the writing…and wrangling your template!

Our final, camera-ready version of the workshop abstract is now available and posted here.

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications to participate in the workshop. Please send your two-page position paper (in PDF format) to socialpi@lists.colorado.edu for consideration! (Complete details about the requirements for submitting and our priorities for selecting participants are available in the workshop Call for Participation.

Applicants who submit prior to the early-notification application deadline (1 September) will be sent decisions on or before the CSCW conference-wide early-bird registration deadline (10 September) — in the case that your acceptance to the workshop might positively influence your ability to attend the conference, as a whole. We will also continue to consider additional applications until 14 September, which is the final published deadline for applying to participate.

We’re excited to report that our workshop proposal has been officially accepted as part of this year’s CSCW pre-conference workshop program. We are currently working on populating this workshop website with the relevant information for potential participants, and we will begin accepting applications to participate in short order.
